Krystal's Marbled Manicure
-
"As seen in the 2011 Glam Camp "Get The Look" Book!"
Materials
- Jesse’s Girl High Intensity Nail Color - for this example we used Wham Bam, Crush and Spring Break, but feel free to mix it up with your favorite Jesse’s Girl shades!
-Petroleum Jelly
-Orange stick
-Small cup of room temperature waterThis look can be achieved by starting with a bare nail, or you can use the color of your choice as a base for the marble pattern you’re going to create!
-
Coat your finger in petroleum jelly, but avoid getting any on your nail. This will protect your finger from having unwanted nail polish adhering to it, while still allowing the polish to apply to your nail. Don’t forget to protect the underside of your nail!
-
Allow polish to drop from the brush into the water – one drop at a time, alternating colors in the pattern of your choice.
-
Using your orange stick (or a toothpick) and beginning in the center of the floating polish, pull the colors out to the side to create a spider-web effect, or try your own swirls & designs – be creative!
-
Once you’ve designed your pattern, submerge your finger into the water near a pattern of your choice. Don’t wait too long, or the polish on the surface of the water will dry! Use the orange stick to clear any excess polish on the surface of the water away from your skin.
-
Carefully remove your finger from the cup, “catching” the polish with your nail as you exit the water. Clean up any excess polish around the nail. Repeat the process for each nail, then seal with your favorite topcoat!

Partner this look with Jesse’s Girl Pure Pigment Eye Dust in Ultra Violet or Mineralized Baked Powder Eye Shadow in Rosemary Frost. For your lips, try Jesse’s Girl Liquid Glass Lip Gloss in Heartbreaker or Electric Pink Lip Gloss in Shock Wave.
